I couldn't find an appropriate forum for this so The Pit it is! I'm plannin to do a cover of Who Are You, and am looking about how to get the synth sound they use. I use Proteus X2 If that helps, I've been browsing a while and can't really find anything.

the equipment doesn't even matter that much

you just have to know how to set up volume and filter envelopes and what waveforms to choose

yeah it does, even with the same types of settings different synths can sound vastly different, this is especially true for old school analog sounds.

Dude, mix it up a little Find a sound of your own, there's nothing more dull than a cover that sticks too close to the original. Go filter them envelopes.
