So, I was looking for some new books to read and i came across the sequel to this one without knowing it was such. So I looked it up and everywhere i found it it was like 35$+ Does anyone know why it's so expensive, or even better where i could get it cheaper?

Actually, it's paperback and it was released in '02 so I don't know, but even so hardcover books are never that much more expensive.

you could ask them if there was some way they could get it in from another library in the region. Or you could always try getting it 2nd hand off amazon.com or play.com.

i second this valuable opinion! ill give it 9.5/10, it misses out on half a mark because the pictures arent as good as Roald Dahl's

I beg to differ sir, I feel that the bright, more cheerful illustrations shown in "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" are first rate and give a sense of fun to the reader. Whereas The illustrations in Roald Dahls' novels are scribbley and drab which are rather depressing in my opinion. Also I believe that the story line in "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" is far more compelling than anything Roald Dahl has ever written
