I play a Valveking 112 amp, and I got the Vox VFS2 stereo footswitch after reading that it would work with the amp. It doesn't, and I don't understand why. I'm wondering if this means my Valveking has a problem inside, because I can't think of any other reason why it wouldn't work with any given stereo footswitch, and I opened up the footswitch itself and there weren't any visible problems. Also, the switches on the amp's faceplate don't work when the footswitch is connected.

Is there a problem with my amp or did I screw up and get a footswitch that just isn't compatible for some reason?

Thanks.

Yeah - the cable is attached to the footswitch, you don't plug a cable in like with the Boss footswitches.

have you tried a different switch. maybe you were misinformed about it working?

Well, that's the plan, probably. But everything I've read suggested that this switch would work, and the Peavey footswitch is pretty expensive for something that should come with the amp anyways.

Perhaps my unit is just DOA.
