So I plan on purchasing a Hot Rod Deville. I played both a 4x10 and a 2x12 and they pretty much seemed the same. What are any of your preferences?

2x12 will be more bassy.

in addition to the degree of BAMF and bassy it is, who the HELL has a 2x12? surprise your friends, be more original. get the 2x12.

Very true. But the 4x10 now comes in a brown w/oxblood grill, which in my opinion looks wayyyy cooler than the black and silver. Haha

I know cosmetics really don't mean ****. I just figured if the amps are basically the same, I'd get the cooler looking one.

Anyway, I'd still like to hear some more suggestions. Thanks guys!

I suggest the 2x12 for two reasons. First, it's a little smaller/lighter, and thus easier to get around. Second, if you ever decide you want to swap out the speakers (and you might!), it's cheaper to swap out two than four, and you have a much wider variety of 12" speakers to choose from.

That said, I get that the 4x10 is cool. Gotta go with your own priorities.

The 2x12 definitely pushes a lot more air.
