and only 512 Mb of ram

And the Vid card is 32-bit
not 64

so yeah i like FPS

but dont Suggest WoW it worked BARELY but the game itself sucked in my opinion
i do play Warcraft 3

And i plan on Buying CS 1.6

so in Normal person terms

Hard drive is 1000 GB or 1 Terabyte

8GB of RAM

3.16 GHz CPU

Vid card is 896 MB and 448 Bit

sound card is 24 bit and supports 7.1 surround sound
(thats better than a Normal 5.1 Surround sound that you get for your TV)
#20
2392 is hellllllllllllllllllla expensive.

The last time I built a top of the line PC was in 2006 and I payed a lil under 1,000 (minus the monitor, already had one). It still runs new games today and I've only replaced the graphics card.

OCing ftw!!!

What OS are you gonna run?

i havent Decided

Prob Vista Ultimate (Rolls eyes)
not because i want to

but because all the new games are going to designed for Vista

I would prefer XP pro

and i would pay 3 grand for this system im honestly getting a bargain
you can go online to sites like best buy and buy a system 1/3 this good

for 4 grand

EDIT: the reason im going all out is so i can run pretty much all games coming out in the next 5-8 years i was aiming for 10 years

but that just wont happen at the rate Games are being made

and im limiting myself to 1000$ every 5 years on upgrades
#23
Yea, I never buy any computers from retailers.

If you run XP than you can't use that 8gigs of RAM you have, I believe XP only can utilize up to roughly 3gigs of RAM.

I believe 32-bit Vista can only utilize up to 4 gigs..and that's total ram, ie graphics card, etc

64-bit is where you wanna go if you want to get the most out of those 8 gigs

but im still gonna try haha
but yeah im gonna have a Dual Monitor setup so i can Run Crysis on My left while Talking it up on Myspace on the Right

haha what do you think im gonna do?

yeah dude With the DL speeds This CPU is gonna get

i wouldnt ever need to get a Game legally

but Luckily enough for the Game Companies

i like having CD's to go through
and playing online

I'm sorry...you lost me.

How does a cpu determine DL speeds?

I'm pretty sure that's up to your isp

well i have a Amazing Connection right now
were talking about 450 KB/s on average

but i didnt really mean download speeds i was thinking more on the side of how fast i could install and uninstall games

and sometimes your Cpu and RAM can limit your DL speed

like on this hunk of junk im using now

i get 192 KB/s
while on The newer PC that my dad owns Which is On the Same Connection
Coming out of a Router

is getting 250 KB/s - 500 KB/s on average

and so is every other CPU

because he's Mr. big shot and bought a 5 Grand System form best buy 2 weeks ago
Even though he wouldnt be able to tell you if he was running 32-bit vista or 64 lol

but yeah sometimes it matters

Quad cores are way to expensive right now and not a lot of programs use em to thier full potential.

If you just play video games, a dual core will last you a long time.

Get a quad core instead of a dual core.

and the only advantage ive seen and heard of is they produce a little less heat

i remember when my brother was making his CPU and he taught me how

And i asked Why does The Computer always make a Room hot?

and he made me touch the bare CPU right after he took it off

god it burnt like hellfire
