ever since i got my new guitar(a schecter hellraiser c-1 2008) i have not been able to dial in the tone i am looking for. I play mostly metal-core styles such as august burns red . Im looking for a tone with a thich bottom end and just a high gain sound. I use a b525 at212 and i would love all the help you all can give me.

this is probably a dumb question, but i have to ask: are you scooping your mids?

you dont need an OD just try turning the gain up all the way and messing with the low end frequency adjuster on your amp labeled low or bass more than likely...i know how you feel on this one

get an OD. It will defiantely help you get the CHUGA CHUGA metalcore SOUND. Dont scoop your mids.

u usually play with no mids and so i guess the consensus is get an od?

you have to play with mids!!! crank your mids!!! but still
get an od
it will help your sound regardless of whatyou play. a ts9 will do or get a bad monkey if on a budget

Scooped mids has become pretty much the staple tone for metal/esque music.

Personally I think an amp with cranked mids sounds horrid but then again I'm into the whole metal/esque type of music.
