I just thought I could use one. At least some effects to spice up some playing, shred or maybe some funk. Any suggestions? Budget should be less than $200, dunno how much good wah pedals go for though.

The HBE wah is insanely good. It'll be a very lucky find in a store though.

Yeah, they don't arrest/ticket hobos because they can't pay the fines. Then they hang out in the jail all day eating free food. There's no point.

Morleys are great wahs but I would also suggest that you try the Vox V847.

$200? You should be looking RMC. They are boutique pedals, and they are top notch.

Maybe an RMC3 or Wizard Wah would be up your alley?

Morley Power/Volume Wah.
When it's off, it's a volume pedal.

very nice use of a vai song in the sentence. but i agree, go with the bad horsie, maybe 2? haven't tried that one but i've heard great things. the bad horsie is the best for shred and pretty good for funk, not a vintage sounding wah by any means.

Go with the Ibanez Weeping Demon. It is with out a doubt the most customizable pedal out on the market. It has a total of 3 main controls that control the amplified signal, so the pedal can be used as a makeshift compressor, a knob controlling how much sweep is in the pedal, and the final pedal is the low end knob which adjusts the low end range sweep. Plus, there is a fine tuning switch that controls the overall sweep, and then a time switch to control when the wah cuts off when using the auto switch feature.

You can select the classic wah, where you turn it on and play, or the "Auto Switch" and the pedal is locked, and when pressed down, it turns on.

Buy this especially if you like high gain stuff.

Not to be a threadjacker, but I too am looking for a wah. I want it for classic rock(cream, hendrix, etc.) and some funk rock stuff(RHCP mostly)
no combos please

No combos? What do you mean by that? And what's your budget?

Like the digitechs that have 10 different effects in them. A friend of mine has one and it seemed to me like they compromised quality for versatility. My budget is about $100, $150 tops and the plan is to try stuff at my local shop and haggle the price down. If I can't get it low enough that way, I'll just buy it online.
