This is a really noobish question, but what is the best and most effective way to clean my guitar? I have a black Les Paul, and fingerprints and oils from my skin and streaks and things show up really easily on it. My room is also very very dusty and my guitar attracts lots of dust, too. What is a good method to clean it?

Fast fret.

Anyways, use carnauba wax to wax your guitar then polish it with Dunlop Formula 65.That's what I do.

Fun trying to keep gloss black nice and shiny all the time isn't it? For the dust, get a Swiffer Duster. They work great, won't scratch the finish, and you can weasel it under the strings to do the whole neck too. The string nubs at the tuning pegs might catch on it a little tho, but it's all good everywhere else.
For fingerprints and such, just a slightly damp lint free cloth. I bought some Windex Microfiber cloths a while ago from Wal-Mart. There's no chemical on them, just dry in the box. Super soft, completely lint free and they work great for wiping down a guitar.

Metal+water=

Just get fast fret,it isn't too expensive and that stick lasts forever.

Metal + water = rust. You don't want rust on that guitar you are working so hard to keep clean, now do you?
Do NOT look behind you.

now what do you use to keep the neck very fast? Just the normal guitar polish?
