I have a very open mind when it comes to music. I like pretty much every western genre except pop and techno.

What are some good albums or bands?

Opeth and rage

Their Epilogue song is awesome.

TS, have you heard of a band called Def Leppard? If you haven't, I suggest listening to these songs of theirs:

Nine Inch Nails are my choice :P mainly because they are my favourite band but i think if you like most genres them im sure you will like Trent Reznor and his work as he takes up most genres in each different piece he does, these range from Drum and Bass like lines in Complication (from "The Fragile") album to calmer more peaceful pieces like that of Hurt (Which was famously covered by Johnny Cash)(from "The Downward Spiral") and the more Rock like songs like The Hand That Feeds (from "With Teeth") and also Discipline (from "The Slip") so if you havent really listened much (or even not at all) im sure you will find something that Trent has created that suits your likes

Everyone needs to own the album Reinventing Axl Rose by Against Me! Everyone. Without it, your life is but a sad, cold, empty shell.

I'm re-soundtracking the whole game, I reckon the music is too weak at the moment. Drums were sequenced on fruityloops, but there were loads of third party samples and effects that I can't be bothered going into.
