I've been playing for a couple of years now; I can pick pretty fast, do fast chord rhythms/changes etc. and am generally not bad at playing guitar at all (I don't mean to brag, i'm just being honest). However, I cannot seem to get my head (or fingers around sweep picking at all, I just can't do it. Can you please give me some useful practise techniques to enable me to sweep pick. Obviously, I don't expect to be perfect straight away, but even so, i'm having trouble with it.

Thanks
You cannot choose the little time you're given in this world. You enter bare and unclothed, provided only with intelligence enough to choose how you spend your time. You always have a choice. Always. Though be warned, your choice can rarely be undone

Start slowww.
Use a metronome. Start at a slow speed and go faster. Practise at the fastest tempo where you make no mistakes after playing slow.
