hey, can you name a few versatile distortion pedals. you know something that can get a nice crunchy metal tone and a good bluesy distortion as well. so far i was thinking about the sansamp gt2. Is this a good choice? Thank you

Yup, that's a pretty good one you've got there - the Jekyll and Hyde is good too as it's a combined overdrive and distortion.

I'm tempted to suggest the Blackstart DISTX. But it's expensive, and I gave everybody here a horrible impression on it by posting an awful sound example of it. Price range is the most important piece of info you left out...
