Hey guys, i write to today feeling very disappointed. My dream guitar, the Fender TC-90, was discontinued before i even noticed, and now I'm not sure if I'll ever get one. I played guitar in highschool, but this past year at college was pretty busy, and my playing basically stopped. I was going to save up to get that guitar, but now i cant seem to buy it anywhere. What do u think is a good replacement that would give me all the features that made the TC-90 so great? I like that it's semi-hollow, making it lightweight, and louder acoustically. I like the p-90's (definitely want those on my next guitar). And i love the set neck with the high fret access of a fender. I was thinking Epiphone Casino (hollow body, but lacking on the fret access) or Gibson SG Classic (great sound, but it's a solid body). Any suggestions on what guitar would do what i need or ways i can get a Fender TC-90 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

maybe one of these...

it's a Fender ’72 Telecaster Thinline Hollow Body Electric Guitar
on SamAsh.com it costs $699
But you'd have to change the pickups since they're not P90s

I still spot a TC-90 on eBay every now and then, just gotta watch. But yeah, I was disappointed as well when I found out it was discontinued.

Buy a used one...

You could hold out for a Fender Jim Adkins signature whenever it gets released, but it's not a double cut.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

Search around online retailer stores. Like local shops that have websites.

The other day, a store in San Jose had one for only $440.00!!! They said they're trying to get rid of it, had it for like 2 years... can't believe no one bought it. I paid $630.00 for mine. It's the vintage white one.

Give them a call, maybe they can ship it. Guitar Showcase in San Jose, located on S. Bascom or something.. Google it, good luck

My.
Lord.

phiberoptiks, you are an amazing person, and i thank you immensely. I've been looking for one of these for forever and not only did you help me find one, but at a great deal also.

I just called the guy at Guitar Showcase, and they're gonna sell it to me for $449. A steal! Yo, seriously, I can't thank you enough. I never would have seen that guitar, considering I live in Michigan! I can't cant hug you virtually, but consider it done, haha.
