I bought a condenser mic that needs phantom power, but I was wondering if there was a simple and cheap method of connecting this mic to my computer so I can record vocals/acoustic guitar.
xlr to 1/4" cord, then put a 1/4 to 1/8th converter on it. available at radioshack. very cheap
Epiphone G-400!!!!!!!!

Washburn Bass!!!

Cordovox tube amp

Crate bass amp!!!

Kustom PA
I'm very new at this, so sorry about my ignorance but could you post any links? Since it requires phantom power, wouldn't i need a pre amp of some sort? Thanks in advance!
something like this and something like this. not necessarily those exact models, but something along those lines....

also, not sure why the xlr converter has a mono 1/4" plug.... (xlr connectors use 3 pins i believe...)
Fender MIM HSS Stratocaster
Some random Yamaha acoustic
VOX amPlug AC30
cool thanks a lot guys!

But do i still need a preamp for the phantom power or no?
