Don't get monster cables! They're overpriced crap.

Check out Planet Waves, Lava Cables, and George L's.

Just get any cable, but make sure the ends and tips are metal. I know this sounds crazy but there are cheap cable companies that make the 1/4" tip from plastic.

Get a cable that is the metal unscrew type, and not the plastic molded ends (like monster). That way, if it ever breaks, you (or a soldering bud) can fix it.

Didn't you say that you had a stuffed fox that you would occasionally fuck?

Hotline! they have a lot of memory & therefore tangle up a lot, but you can't kill them! I've had mine for a couple years now & it's even been used to tie gear down in the back of utes!! (not that I recommend it!)

Dude I got these strings the other day that couldn't be tuned to higher than 4 octaves below middle C then I realized that they were shoelaces and they weren't making any sound at all.

the thicker the better... cables are more important than most people think

and i personally prefer pastic tubing over tweed... just feels more durable

no. my brother has a Proel cable and he accidentally stepped on it, now it's not working very well, unlike my planet waves which i have stepped on many times but still works the same as i bought it.

I can't really recommend the brand of cable, but make sure you get cables where you can unscrew the ends. with those if they break you can just resolder the joint and they'll be good as new, as opposed to the ones that can't unscrew. if those ones break, you're screwed

When I told some random fat guy I played guitar, he tried to test me with this melon scratcher:

"What's a plectrum then?"

He didn't even play himself...

I've come off of several high end cables and recently redid my entire rig with Lava Cable ELC. I've never been happier with a cable and the price is surprisingly reasonable.
ESP LTD EC-256 and a Fender Deluxe VM
