I'm fairly sure they were played in standard.

If you listen to any of the early stuff they don't appear to be playing particularly low.

The lowest static age chord I can think of offhand is the F in "She" and "Some kinda hate".

Standard. It's all standard. Every last bit of it.

They never go below the low E. And I learned how to play the majority of old Misfits songs at some point.

I could play all of Walk Among Us back when I was 16. Now I can only remember the two best songs off of it, All Hell Breaks Loose and Skulls.

AHHHH come on maaaan! I tried really hard this time too... ya know, I put a whole lota thought in the old thinker of mine to figure out the Misfits' guitar sound ya know...
