I once took apart one of those flashing halloween masks. The lights are hooked up to my speakers and flash to my music.

Well, years ago, while in an intense game of Downhill Domination, my PS2 controller broke. My friend was like, "So, just take it apart and fix it". This baffled me, so he took it apart, pushed the buttons back up, and we continued the race.
Since then, I have attempted to fix many electronics, with little no success.

I once took apart and rebuilt a PC when I was drunk. I had three spare screws at the end of it...

I think the wires from the light are soldered to the speaker where the speaker wires are. He did most of the work TBH

dismembering old electricians is a lot more fun.

I fix old crap at work all day. I find no joy in doing it in my spare time.

I've got something like that hooked up to my stereo right now and I have a different strand of lights for highs, mids and lows. If I can find out what the thing is called I'll try to find schematics for it but my dad made it back in high school.

Randomly taking it apart isn't fun. Repairing it/modding it is.

i took apart my nes a few years ago because you would have to push the game in and out 10-15 times before it worked. i figured i would just have to vacuum out the dust and see if anything was loose.

when i had it opened up, i saw this metal prong thing sticking out. it looked really outta place so i decided that this must be the problem. it seemed like that metal prong needed to be pushed back into the hole it was sticking out of. turns out, i know nothing about electronics.

now i use an emulator to play nes games....
