The original thread: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=907425

Basically the volume on my amp (Crate Stealth 50) was cutting out periodically. The volume doesn't cut out completely, but to about 1/3 of the volume I had it set to. The problem occurs no matter what combination of guitar/cables/effect I use, so I know the problem is with the amplifier.

The solution offered in the previous thread was to change out the power tubes. I have done this and the problem still exists. Any ideas?

It might be a wiring short. Not a big problem, but enough to warrant a visit to an amp tech or repair place. No matter what, since its not the power tubes, id take it to a tech.

Good advice though I didn't wanna hear it . $53 "bench fee" is no fun after I jsut dropped 50 for tubes.
