first... dont ever get a 100 watt solid state amp if your gunna play gigs...
second .. vox arent a good metal amp.. the beatles, the who, queen. use voxs.. so thats what you would sound like
third.. get a crate or a peavey amp

how much are you willing to spend on an amp.. youll need a speaker cab for it too. just so you know

speaker cabinets are about 300. and you have to get one that is compatible with what ever amp head you get... so you dont blow the speakers...

for 300 dollars.. your probably not gunna get a good quality tube amp. so unless you want to save up .. your stuck with a solid state head
