hi ive been playing about 5 months with 3 months of lessons. basically lessons arent cost efficient. are there any books that yall recommend in particular for teaching oneself? - chords, building shredding skills, theory, easy to understand books that include drills novice to intermediate mostly.

Pickup Hal Leonards: Speed Mechanics for Lead Guitar and Fretboard Mastery by Troy Stetina. They go very well together and you can work through them both at the same time picking them up as and when.

I'm slowly working my way through them. I mean slooooowly
