so right now i have 2 sony speakers and 2 more other speakers from a stereo that are pretty big. i wanted to go buy a subwoofer. i found a good one for about $60.

now if i went and bought the subwoofer, would i be able to play my music/tv/etc through it and the speakers. i dont have a reciever, and they are very expensive.

i have a stereo that i use now. it goes.

tv -> 4way splitter (for tv, xbox, ps2, and ipod input) -> stereo input. so right now when i run things through the splitter it comes out through the stereo.

is there a way i can put the subwoofer in the middle of this line, like

tv -> 4way splitter -> subwoofer -> stereo input.

how can i do this?

yes but the original system speakers would not be in the circut so they would not be heard.
if you look in the back you can buy a splitter for where the speakers get plugged into the stereo, you couldnt add a subwoofer but you could add more speakers
