I have a squier strat. I decided to put heavy (12-gauge) strings on it, which caused the bridge to tilt. A lot. I can barely move it down anymore.

I recently switched back to 10-gauge strings, but the tremolo won't go back down. I figured that the springs holding the bridge to the guitar were pretty much spent.

Will buying 3 new springs to replace the old ones return the bridge back to its normal position?
buying new springs should help.
