Ok, simple question.

On a PCB, if there is a resistor-like rectangle with link on it, do I just join the two points together with wire?

Stupid question I know, but this is the first time I've ever used a printed PCB, I usually just use plain stuff and join everything together myself.

there is no way for us to read the mind of the person who designed the board, or yours for that matter.
either supply a pic of the board and a schematic,
or compare that portion of the board to the schematic and determine if those parts of the circuit are supposed to be connected together.

Well I did what you said and as far as I can tell, they are just to link components. Is a very poor schematic though.

Thanks SYK
