I have heard that the Spider Valve has good tones, but is quite loud, as I would need to use it for bedroom practice, but also in studio and possibly live in the future. Is this true, and if so, would a THD Hotplate, or a similar attentuator, affect the tone of the amp?

Cheers,

Mavis

If you want a quiet valve amp, dont get a spider valve, simple as that. There are MUCH better amps out there for the price.

Whats your budget? Playing styles?
