i bought their album a while back near the release, it's decent, but i grew tired of it.
It's terribly unoriginal but its still a good listen from time to time.

They're alright I guess. My best friend is really into them right now but I'm struggling to catch on.

Vocalist has ridiculously large stretched ears. And this is coming from a kid with 20mm's. Mi9ne are like m&m's compared to his frying pans lol

What a ****ing terrible band. I saw them live, and I totally lost it when the singer said "GET CRUNK" before one of the breakdowns.

Yeah, and they're not christian at all. it would really piss me off if they were. I like their vocals mainly.

Actually they are. They were a semi local band for a long time before they blew up, they've always been called a Christian band.
#13
Their name is taken from Biblical references and for years they were known as a Christian band in this area, lyrics don't necessarily make a band Christian or not.

...that's exactly what makes a band christian..

I've got to agree with technicolor here. Not much else can make a band christian.

How do you be a Christian band and not have Christian lyrics, or Christian members? Eh?

You could have Christian members and just have songs about normal life or whatever else.

Then the musical style would'nt be christian without the christian lyrics

Many of their members are atheists, and show me a song with christian lyrics

you know this how?
#22
I think i read the lyrics to one of their songs once and it was all about being shown the way by the light of Jesus or some crap.

I don't know, it probably wasn't even a song by MCMB, I don't listen to them. Also, I agree that in order to be a Christian band the lyrics must have distinguishable Christian themes... Otherwise it's just a band with Christians in it.

Well, they were on a christian based tour called Scream The Prayer, so they obviously are christian

That being said, I first saw them on that tour about a month ago and they were illegal download worthy

Also, MCMB is signed to Solid State, an explicitly Christian label.

Lyrics off their song "Faithless" on their new album:

If seeing is believing then they've gouged out all their own eyes.
they're confused by the love, the hate, all of the hypocritical lies.
their own misfortunes, creating the selfish disguise;
that will seed the beginning of their spiritual demise (2)

I can’t believe this is happening,
my faith depleting somewhere buried inside, alive;
afraid, unstable, but learning that these things will clear in time
I’m so scared, I’m so scared of what I might become

straying from the beaten path that I’ve been on for so long
finally moving forward in life, acknowledging my faults
that’s haunted my every move for what seems like years
my conscience screaming, realizing things aren’t as bad as they appear

still anchored in our old ways

and just when you think everything's going to be alright
defenses down, so vulnerable to what once had you gripped so tight

the miracle I needed, no longer mistreated
the life changing motivation, my only inspiration
calm the storms and ill walk the waves
my eyes are open, and I can clearly see

CALM THE STORMS AND I’LL WALK THE WAVES

I can’t believe all this is happening to me,
my faith depleting some where buried alive, inside;
afraid, unstable, but learning that these things will clear in time
I’m so scared, I’m so scared of what I might become
and just when you think everything ‘s going to be alright
I’m vulnerable to what once had me gripped so tight

Apparently a christian song.

Can we stop talking about whether or not they're Christian and start talking about how shitty they are? Kthx.

Oh, and when I saw them live their drummer couldn't keep up with the tempo, and his double kicks were totally off.

Aveks> Faithless is about losing faith, heh.

It's about his faith coming to him after losing it. Read the lyrics. Its also the first track on the album.

Meaning he's moving away from the path of sinners.

This is an allusion to peter finding the faith to walk to jesus across the sea.

hes afraid of who he might become if he loses his faith, but he's sure it'll pass with time.

I'm in a Christian band and its never an issue on either end.
If that still confuses you, I'd be more than happy to discuss it with you more in depth.
I'm well versed in Christianity and most other religions,
so don't assume that I don't believe because I don't know whats up.

We were standing around the merch area before they went on, someone said something about Jesus and he said "**** Jesus". It was probably a joke. I don't really care, Matt's the nicest guy I've ever met, and I love the band. Sorry for starting this big argument.

they're a pretty cool band..they sound like a ton of other bands though...

and yes they are christian, but aside from their name and lyrics, they dont act like it at all...

they played a show here, and their merch guy started hxc dancing, and he was hitting everybody in the face and everything..so the security guy tried throwing him out, so the band stopped the song, got off stage, and beat the crap out of the security guard..

also some of their t-shirts are disgusting..

so even though their christian, i have no respect for them..although i enjoy listening to them

but all in all they are a good band
