For the last time tonight...

NO EMGs... and no means no!

They sound absolutely horrible! Also, they will make you sound like a carbon copy of 90% of the metal guitarists out there.

If you insist on going active then get some Duncan Blackouts. They have a wider frequency response than EMGs and they have less compression... they sound a lot better than EMGs - they are the closest thing to passive pickup tone that you are going to get with an active pickup.

But don't go active at all if you can absolutely avoid it!

Also, kool98769 - Dime had a Dimebucker in the bridge on his guitars.

His original Deans had Bill Lawrence pickups in them.

When he switched to Washburn he used the Dimebucker.

When he switched back to Dean he had the Bill Lawrence twin blades in some and Dimebuckers in others.
