Uhhhh...

Tremolo picking is basically picking as fast as you can with your right hand while holding out notes with your left hand. An example would be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ThUa1Aeh34

Sweep picking is playing an arpeggio (a chord or 3 or more notes played individually) while moving your picking hand and fretting hand in one synchronized, smooth, swept stroke. You're best off learning this technique with a teacher or vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mbx03mP5eg
