I hoping to save studio time by recording guitar parts and bass parts at home and recording only vocals and drums at a studio. or at least be able to work out ruff demo of songs at home.

Any advice, I got pro tools mbox, Either I could Mic up Amp with Sm mic but being home theres no empty room so it would have objects or plug into Mbox and using Plug,in Amps,

But would not be sure where to start.

How do you get the guitar sound like it does on professional recordings Albums. I know at home you could get close.
what are the not to dos as well.
