I'm trying to get the volume and tone knobs off of an Epi LP and I can't seem to figure it out. I know of two ways to get knobs off (My two basses have two diff. ways) My Ibanez has small allen wrench screws on the side of each knob, then my POS bc rich knobs pull off with ease. Now this Epi has no screws and I can't pull the knobs off. I see some kind of a washer underneath them but how the heck can I get this off?

Is there such a thing as a heavy riff with out chugging on the e string?

you take a t-shirt and wrap the edge of the shirt underneath the base of the knob. then you twist the t-shirt till its tight and then pull up. they're a bitch to get off though

They are just pressed on. Epi has a habit of putting knobs on 2 ways loose and they fall off or way to tight. Just gonna have to pull harder.

Alright, I tried the shirt shirt pulling thing, it didn't work, so i wrapped several layers around, then got some plyers and got it off. Messed up the old shirt but not the knob heh thanks guys!
