Thread name.
Having played just under a year, I don't really know any songs I'd say are perfect to play with your amp cranked.
There was a hole here.
It's gone now.

I don't crank my amp up, it's a bass amp, which, when cranked up would cause my trailer to fall apart.

Any of Aerosmith's older tunes.

EDIT: Then again, maybe that's because I play on the clean channel when I can. I dig that power tube OD.

Oh God no, a Line 6 Spider III cranked. The sound on them breaks up at like anything over 5.

EDIT: WTF? You play a Gibson Slash Signature LP through a Spider III? What is wrong with you? Instead of wasting money on buying an LP with Slash's name on it, why didn't you buy a regular LP Standard or something, and spend the rest of your cash on a decent tube amp, used JCM 800, 900 or a Peavey 5150 or basically any non digital amps.

Some people just lack common sense...

lrn2shred does have a good point. You should have a way better amp if your playing that Les Paul.

It's not opinion, I have had a Spider III. It has the most sterile sound to it, it is not possible to coax anything even remotely close to 'tube warmth' and dynamics from it. It doesn't matter how high the sampling rate of the amp is, the fact is, it will never sound like a tube amp and give decent tone, either clean or distorted because it is not a tube amp.

EDIT: Ok, what I have said is still subjective, but trust me, once your ear develops a bit, it will hit you just how awful the tone really is. Go to your local store, take your Les Paul with you and jam around with some small tube combos and maybe tube half stacks and you will pretty soon realise what you've been missing.
