I hate them enough to let you put your own insult in there. Gerard sounds like a moaning dying emo cow about to be slaughtered by the mexican workers and that recently had it's girlfriend cow break up with him causing him to do bad things to get farmers to whip him so he gets cuts.

The Scythe - Elvenking

The band definitely went in a different direction but I think its still one of their better albums.

I can't stand the vocals on that album at all. I hope their acoustic follow up will go back to being "Skywards."

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band!

God.
F*cking.
Damnit.

It is not a concept album! I'd go into detail, but I'm too tired. Basically, it was going to be, but they got tired of writing the songs for it, so the concept was scrapped, but the concept songs were kept.

And my faves are anything by the Mars Volta, the Who's Quadrophenia, and Zen Arcade by Husker Du.

the mars volta live at electric ballroom

I know there are better "concept" albums but as far as direct story telling and keeping me entertained, no other album has actually made me laugh and I really think the story is tragic if you really think about it

I find the Days of Future Passed by the Moody Blues sort of interesting. I mean there might not be too much of a story but the use of sorta psychodelic/rock/classical music all in one makes for some good tunes.

I know the concept is stupid, but I LOVE the music.

I'll +1 this entire post.

While not a typical 'concept album', I'll put my votes in for The Alchemy Index Vols. I - IV by Thrice.

Scenes from a Memory
Dark Side of the Moon

And Coheed and Cambria

Although all three have already been mentioned quite plenty of times, I think they all deserve a mention again.

Any Opeth, Rush, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater albums. Then there's Tommy, the Coheed and Cambria concept, The Mars Volta, Fortress-PTtH. That's all I can think of.
