Hey Pit, just wondering how well known Australian music is on an international level. Everyone knows AC/DC of course, but apart from that, how many/which Aussie artists do you know? Which ones do you like? Can be from any genre.
#4
Parkway Drive
Sneaky Sound System
Crowded House (Amiright?)

Those are the only I can think of, of the top of my head.
I'm sure theres many more I listen to, just can't think of.

Depends on what you mean by metal. There is a massive metalcore scene in Aus IMO, and some of those bands are pretty damn good (check out "Lynchmada" in particular, those boys are incredible live, and probably on the metal side of metalcore). But if you mean more extreme metal, Grenade was good back in the day, as was Destroyer 666. Sadly both disbanded now I believe...I know a number of unsigned bands that I enjoy, like John Doe, Deprivation, Human Error etc, but you'd only find their music on myspace or at shows.
