Right I'm considering starting up bass in the nearish future, and would just like to get some information on some good practise amps, around 20watt.

I'd say my budget would be around £150

so any ideas would be appriechiated (sp) greatly : )

oh btw, I would play from blues - hard rock/metal with it, so something quite versatile if possible

a little louder than you said, but I always like my Acoustic AB50. a wonderful amp.

That looks interesting, but would probably be too loud/possibly to big for what I would like.

if you aren't hiking it up a mountain, it's not a bad amp to get. your average bedroom jam guitarist will be using 15-25 watts and he'll appreciate getting to play above volume 2.

and you can always turn it down. or use a pair of good headphones.
