#1
Started this a long time ago and finished it on the spot after the first stanza.

This moment (I know it)
Is like a day
And I don't want to (But you do)
Believe
That everything that I have come
To rely on is gone
Maybe I should just turn my head
Forget all of the hate that's been breed
Would it really mean I was weak
If I couldn't turn the other cheek

How can you say the duty was mine
To say the right thing at all the right times
Perfect is a word that would never fit
When describing me
You put the candle out
But it was never really burning
A feeling of contempt
Has replace any of yearning
Why would we continue this charade

Because you don't want to regret
Any standard you might not have met
Well that's too bad I've had enough of it
This is where the story ends
