hey all, duno if this should be here but meh.
any ways my band is playing at my flats flat warming in a few weeks, and we have bout 15 covers at the mo, but we want some good songs to play that will get people moving and stuff as some of our songs are more mellow ie pink floyd etc, so i was hoping you people would be able to throw some songs at me that are like typical party songs. stuff that makes people jump and run around crazy like

SUBLIME. As far as party music goes, you cannot go wrong. Chicks especially seem to dig it.

Offspring. He needs some cool tunes, not just any will suffice, But they didn't have Ice Cube so he bought Vanilla Ice Now cruisin' in his Pinto, he sees homies as they pass, but if he looks twice, they're gonna kick his lily ass! People will laugh. And dance. I guarantee you.

These threads always just turn out as "What's your favourite music Pit?"

"I need a song to play at my daughter's first birthday party"
"OZZY!"
"DREAM THEATRE"
"I CUM BLOOD!"
"Quote=ozzy" HELL YEAH!"

It's all relative. Play what gets you and the people you know pumped.

Same with Led Zeppelin. They're so good at it they've been doing it for close to forty years, and they've been broken up for something like twenty!

I wouldn't recommend nirvana unless you are sure you can pull off the singing.

Kurt Cobain's voice is hard to impersonate.
and i sit and wonder, falling under .

Get a trumpet and play Handlebars.
I get very tense around apples...Well, I get very tense generally. I think I've fallen into the trap of blaming fruit.

umm no.

honetly someone needs to make one of those guide threads and label it "the ONLY what songs to play at EVERY type of party thread" and sticky it. seriously how many of these threads have there been?

just pick random songs off rock band. thats pretty much what the band did at my uncles birthday party and everyone who listens to modern mainstream loved it. theyre all easy as hell to learn too.

Depending on the age, you may want to play some Blink-182, Smashing Pumpkins, or Pearl Jam, stuff that they grew up with.

Oh ya I forgot about blink 182. As you may be able to tell my username, I used to like them, and I know anytime 'all the small things' comes on the radio I crank it up just cuz it brings back memories. So that kinda stuff would be great for a party.
