Simon Pegg all the way!

I do like Adam Sandler in some films but in general I found shaun of the dead and hot fuzz much funnier, never saw run fatboy run though, but i bet it was awesome
#9
I really don't know. I'd say i'm torn between the Jack Black one and the Sandler kind.

#16

I really like the Michael McKean/Christopher Guest/Fred Willard comedies, i.e. Spinal Tap, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, etc. Wouldn't say they're my favorite, but I like them quite a bit.
I simply cannot take this god-awful place anymore. Goodbye to all the good people here. The rest can fuck off.

Aw man
Don't make me choose between Will Ferral and Apatow/Rogan. Both types always give me a chuckle.
I think I just don't get British comedy. I enjoyed Sean of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, but I didn't think they were particularly funny.

I hope so, I'm kicking myself for not seeing Run Fatboy Run.

Though, seemed like it just came and went within a week, must not have been that good...

I liked all those movies made out of SNL skits back in the day, where comedians like Will Ferrell got their break. You know, before SNL turned ****ty.

The Wedding Singer was awesome, but Sandler started to suck when he went wholesome.

I put other, as there i no Steve Martin option.

What could you possibly see in Superbad. The movie was as the title states...SUPERBAD!

And the ending with the stairs,WTF?!was that a drama attempt in a comedy,or a witty ending. The whole movie sucked donkey scrotum!

I like comedies that rely on witty dialogue, slightly subtle satire, highbrow references, and/or clever premises to earn laughs instead of sophomoric jokes and stupidity.

Of the options, the Simon Pegg kind is the closest, but I'd go for either the Matt Groening kind or the Diablo Cody kind if they were on the poll.

EDIT: ^ FINALLY! I thought I was the only one on UG who didn't like Superbad. I honestly couldn't finish the movie, largely due to the astounding overabundance of penis-related humor.

I like off beat kind of humor that relies on the mundaneness of real life.

Think Office Space. Or The Office.
