I am now bored and sick to death calling up timber merchants around the UK, and having them give me shocking quotes and/or not being able to cut to my specifications.

I've been looking for Ash (14"x 22.5"x 1.75") for my guitar body i'm gonna build, and i get prices that range from 100 to 210 quid!?!
that can't be right. Is this correct or am i being ripped off?

if you've built a guitar, what wood did you get & how much did that cost you?

look into a 2 piece body and jointing them. large pieces are gonna cost more than 2 smaller ones, usually.

thought so (and i'm sooo glad to hear it)
i'll check those sites.

luthier's seems great, don't know why i didn't think of buying body blanks from sites like these earlier!

well, i'll keep looking first before i buy
