So I bought a new MIM Stratocaster yesterday and I really liked it except for one thing, the cable I got the employee to throw only does not plug easily on one side. Here is a picture of what it looks like although the cable I have is a no name brand.

The side that fits into the output jack fine is the bottom part (in the picture) but the top side does not fit in. Is this a jack problem or most likely a cable problem?

Also I broke a string because of my stupid tuner so does anyone want to recommend me a new tuner and strings?

Have you tried fitting the cable in the other way to see if it fits?

Most likely a cable problem anyways.

Those cheap cables with the moulded plugs, one straight and one right angled, are worthless anyway...they don't last 5 minutes.

Yeah I have and the only way the cable fits is the way I have described.

I bought a new tuner and replaced my string, which was surprisingly really easy. I will try out some cables at my guitar lesson to see whats the problem.

Please be a cable problem.
