Well, what was the last movie you saw? Give it a rating, and maybe a little review or something

i saw easy rider the other night. thought it was good, jack nicholson being the highlight. it's quite a trippy film, and deals with the concept of 'freedom', and the american dream

recommended!

Dark Knight - 9/10.

It was only really the length that put me off. The chain of events was genius, especially the boat part, but it could have been a better idea if Two-face lasted for a sequel.

The Bucket List

9/10

Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman - enough experience to pull it off without a single cringe moment.

House of wax
Lack of plot, takes too long for death to happen. I would let this slide but the lack of plot doesn’t keep me interested enough to make up for lack of killings. Tbh when his face peels off that's the only epic part of the movie. Paris Hilton dies in her underwear ...ffs she can't even keep her clothes on in a horror. Terrible plot, terrible actors (Not just Paris, I would say most.)..Just terrible movie.

In theaters? Dark Knight. 9/10. Great movie. a bit long. Heath Ledger played a psychopath very well, and it was a fitting end to his career.

On VHS/DVD? Last of the Mohicans. 8/10. What can I say? Solid movie, highly recommend.

The new Rambo.

Fairly entertaining, pretty much the most killing you will ever see on film.

Tenacious D: the Pick of Destiny
8(1/2) / 10

Love Jack Black's acting, and Tenacious D are just a hilariously creative band that work so well when put to work. Kyle Gas putting on a rather funny start and then slides down to being Jack's sidekick in the band. The addition of Sasquatch was probably the weakest part of the movie. Length wise, was a fairly well timed movie. The ending was a tad rushed but yeah, a bag full of laughs, love the movie... this review was fairly lengthy...my bad!

Enemy of the State - actually very good, really fast moving, some brilliant chase scenes and a good shoot out at the end, Will Smith was surprisingly un-annoying and I liked the whole "Surveillance State" theme going on, what was better about that, it was made in 98, so not just a Patriot Act reaction.

Diary of the Dead

Great film, but not as ground-breaking as the original DotD.
Would have been totally ground-breaking of Cloverfield hadn;t stole the "Whole Film in Camcorders" theme.
The film did have fantastic social and political themes in it though as usual.

Best scene? The Woman putting the metal electodes on the zombies head (the things used to shock patients into getting a heartbeat) and the zombies eyes exploding.

Elephant

8.3/10

Gus Van Sant's chronicle of a day in the lives of high school students. The day also happens to be the day of a school shooting. Very brave and good choice by Van Sant to not attempt to explain or make sense of the shootings, but just to show its effect on kids who are more or less normal high school students. Also, brilliantly shot with lots of lush tracking shots and a wonderful classical score.

Dead and Gone: 6/10
Not great, but not horrible.
Didn't actually state what was happening too well (Family dies in house, man moves into house and is haunted by his wife who is on life support, bangs a hot chick, kills everyone except hot chick, who kills him and begins the haunting cycle again) and yes, I did just spoil it, now you don't have to see it
