idioteque has a great drumbeat

id like to record a cover, but dont know what the drum beat is or know where to find a backing track

anyone have any ideas?
Can you find a midi file, import it into whatever software, and extract the drum track?

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com

Transcribe it like you would anything else. Then program it using 808 sounds (could be a 909 too) to get the same kind of sound. Start by mapping out the hi-hat part which is simple. Add the very standard 2-and-4 snare (which is pitched very high). The kick is the only tricky part but it's not too bad. I think the hard part is that it seems to move in sections of 6 bars and adds in some off-beat eights played on the toms here and there.
