Swedish death metal band that had a sound that was more equatable with the American scene rather than the Carnage/Nihilist sound (like Seance). They released their only album 'Internal Caustic Torment' in 1993.

Playing what could be regarded now as proto- brutal death in that they borrowed heavily from the NY scene (a few Suffo - style rhythm patterns raise their heads here and there) with that muffly, thick as tar guitar sound.

Wombbath at MA

The album seems to be out of print now, but it's worth trying to track it down on soulseek or something.

Another case of UG's comfortable blindness to the golden age of Death metal.

I look at Wombbath the same way I look at Hacavitz, some of the best standard death metal out their.

That's because everyone rims Opeth! For reasons I only ever understand abouts every couple of months!

Listened to the three songs on the myspace off of Brutal Mights, good stuff, I liked it, especially brutal mights.

This band is EXCEPTIONAL.

Like, wow.

Everything death metal needs: Great chunky riffs, dizzying tremolos, a solid sense of melody without being melodic, and drums that make me tap my desk and bounce my legs along to the songs.

Sounds like something I should definitely get...

For the record, finding this album on vinyl was easy as typing it in on ebay.

17 bucks, sealed.

Acid probably makes you feel less like a hedonistic raver piece of trash, too.
