Robert Guinn playing "Mr. Legg"

This is the video I recorded yesterday of me playing a song called "Mr. Legg" that I wrote for Adrian Legg.

He is a huge inspiration to me along with Kottke, DiMeola and others.
I thought it would be cool to dedicate a song to him.

This video was actually filmed on the first take. I was surprised.
There are quite a few mess ups but it just felt right for the first time so I kept it.

Please comment good or bad in the forum about the video and maybe some things I can change to better my playing or any other recommendations. I am all about learning from others!

Please rate and/or comment on YouTube if you have the time

I have several other open tuning songs I have wrote that I will try to record and post some day.

Thank you and enjoy!

God Bless...

As a beginner of 2 months I'll say.....WOW. Very nice!

I'm not good, but maybe one day..

It's fun coming up with stuff... relaxing actually.

Thanks for the reply!

Nice playing and certainly a better finger style technique than Leggs as I notice your thumb is outside your other fingers, not inside. If you can gradually get your wrist higher than your thumb [feels very awkward at first but it improves heaps your middle, index and ring finger angle on the strings ...more perpendicular] , you'd have spot-on classical technique!

I have tried several postions to get a better feel but I eventually just laid my hand down on the guitar and worked where it felt natural.

Adrian told me that was a key is just being comfortable with the guitar.

Thank you for the great feedback!!

I moved this to the wrong forum. I'm going to PM the appropriate mod and have them move it to the actual original recordings forum.
