my current luthier advice me to change my nut, but does it worth it? my nut is works fine is not broken or anything but i am aware there are better stuff out there
he told me that bone nuts are very nice, but does changing the nut affects playability? or the sound? i think it'll affect open notes, but what about fretted notes? i hear a better nut could give you nice sustain even in the fretted notes but how?

It can't give you better sustain in the fretted notes, the bridge would affect that. You were right, it will only affect the sound of your open strings. Bone and Brass are my two favorites, with my personal preference being brass because it's brighter.

Be sure to rape the blue note (augmented 4th). Rape it hard and exploit it like the skank it is.
