Since the Olympics are coming up there's been clips on the news with Olympians training and I was watching the track runners and noticed they were always running anti-clockwise. Why is that???
#2
Probably because the race is counter-clockwise.

its like the old joke we used to yell at the track kids: "if you get lost, just go straight and turn left"

which would be counter-clockwise

So you left yesterday? Aw man, I was going to bake you a pie too

Track runners have always run counter-clockwise, I'm sure there's a funny story behind it all if you look back to ancient Greece.

Not always. The ancient olympics had straight tracks.

How would you know?

I meant it's always been called counter-clockwise, not anti-clockwise. Unless my American dialect has mislead me.

Answered your own question there.

Because I am Zeus. I have lived a very long time and give directions to weird kids who need to escape from the police when they harrass their ex girlfriend.

I loved that thread!
