Anyone ever heard of them, and has had experience with them? Some of their models look really good, and their specs aren't too bad either, then I looked at the price and was like "wtf" So what can you tell me about Axl guitars?

I played an Axl Telecaster a year ago. Beginner guitars really, decent action for a starter guitar, but the pickups suck. Regardless, if you're looking for a starter guitar, it is worth the bang for your buck.

If the pickups suck, could you replace them and have yourself a pretty decent guitar?

edit: I'm looking at the Stratocasters btw, the badwater series. they look awesome.

I've heard a bunch of good stuff about them, but have yet to play one. Their the parent company of Johnson guitars (or vice versa). I'm reviewing one of their Akita 30 watt tube combos for the September issue of FrugalGuitarist.com.
