Music isn't necessarily about the lyrics, it's about the music as a whole. When I started to listen to heavier stuff, I started to care about lyrics less.
But, I still don't really like the band.

Hardcore bands and all of its offspring use vocals as more of an instrument than anything else. You really don't have to hear what they said. The vocals set the mood just like the drums, guitars, bass, etc.

You can't understand a lot of hardcore lyrics first time around either. Most extreme music nowadays (including a lot of hardcore, and most of the metal scene) has lyrics you can't usually understand first time around. Does that mean you should disregard it as music?

Waking the Cadaver use it more as an instrument than anything. Besides, have you read the lyrics? Believe me, they're so bad, you're glad you can't hear them.

*Only in hardcore forum because of this wonderful thread*

You need to look past the lyrics, and WtC is one of the worst zits on the ass of the universe.

Sure, Slay. We all know you listen to watered down genericore

Has anyone here compared the songs on the demo to the album versions? The vocal differences are disgusting.

But, I never come in here for this sort of reason

I hate Waking The Cadaver, its nothing about not hearing lyrics or what ever I could care less about that. I just hate how now everyone tries to show me them when ever someone who once told me they hated hardcore is like 'Oh man bro have you heard these guys!?'
Insulting if you ask me.
Its not even good, I don't see how they draw such a big crowd.

They're moshcore. One of those breakdown bands, like Emmure (whilst they sound nothing the same) who just break, break, break, break and bring in a massive crowd, because they'd be fun to see live.

There's a really good one I can't remember, "I want to colour bears, I want to touch your arms", "Burger shake burger shake burger shake burger shake wheat, shredded wheat, shredded for me", "Wait, wait for me, wait wait wait."

You guys do realize that this
moved in any position isn't a tritone. There is only two tones in that chord, the root and the diminished fifth.

^ Uh, I hate to disagree but lyrics really don't mean ****.
Hardcore bands go from talking about raping women to loving God to bashing political figures.

Cretinous statement. Hardcore, if you had a clue as to what it actually is, lyrics are 100% more important than the music. Always has been and for the bands that matter, always will be.

I'd also like you to find me a hardcore band which talks about raping women.
