So...i finally got a decent drum software to mess with and decided to record a song...Its influenced directly by this 2 songs: Steve Vai's Bangkok and Scorpions Sails of Sharon...what they have in common?? THEY ARE MID EASTERN SOUNDING!! So its like...mid-eastern hard rock-metal

I dont have a bass, but feel free to add it if you want.

Please commment on this, since its my first original with drums!

Wow, i really like the middle eastern/egyptian type theme you got going on in that song. I kinda found the first minute a bit boring, but i kept listening and it got pretty good.

Cool little number of a song. Very live sound. Love the middle eastern feel, and metal parts are oh so metal. Crash cymbals are a little too high in the mix imo. Creative drum playing. Very out of the ordinary in some parts. Awesome guitar solo. Totally rocked the house down. The wah effect really adds the floor to this song. Love the harmony at 2:35ish. Very cool progression to the song. It just keeps on churning on with variety. Impressive playing all around.

If you don't mind, I would love you to critique our song:

first off, i like the intro, but the distorted guitar needs to go, and i think you should record the clean on a different pickup. drums were nice. good playing. riffage was good, but in the begginging you went off time a bit. soloing was good. you kept it interesting, but showed you could shred too.

Wow. Maybe the first time I've heard something on UG and went, "this is ****ing epic."
Great job man. Awesome use of wah. All the choices of tone were just great for what they were being used on. I would usually tell you something constructive no matter how good a song is, but I have nothing bad to say about this.

But, seriously i liked it a little bit of a metallica vibe with the wah and pretty good programmed drums too.
needs bass and a little more mixing to get that full sound but i loved the song...

I loved the middle eastern vibe of the song. It made it pleasently fresh to listen to. I really like the intro but when everything kicked in I really got into it man. The lead playing is pretty good to. The quality was pretty decent but I think it took away from the song just a little bit. All in all the song is really good just needs some sick vocals. C4C maybe? loving the eastern vibe u got goin on i totally dig that

seems to me like a very well constructed piece of music

i thought the overral sound of the recording could have used a bit of work.. if u ever re record it id like to hear the improvment

ok a rockin solo is on now... im very impressed. thats the kind of shit that you only capture in a recorded piece once in a long while. very good take. how many takes did u do on that solo? is it improved or did u figure it out?

god damn it just keeps getting better.. i like the sorta... robotic vibe of this part im hearing

..i take back what i sed about the iffy recording. it was was just a small section that i thought couldve been done better but what im hearing now is very impressive copywrite that shit

FKN epic, simple as that... for my ears it was almost perfect, add a little more kicks on the drums, and turn the cymbals volume down a little bit... and it will be Perfect.
