What is the best dorm room practice amp? MY budget is ~300 and I will spend $400 if it is an amazing amp. If it is $500 I will consider it still, but please keep my budget in mind. I play metal mainly and like bands such as... Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Shadows Fall, Rammstein and etc. I will use my metal muff if necessary. I really would like to get a 5 watt or less tube amp, but if it doesn't suit the dorm... then so be it. I am open to using something like a POD if you consider that the best way for me to get excellent metal tone at a low volume. Thanks!

Roland micro cubes would be pretty good for that.
Or you could get yourself a Vox Amplug if you're going to be practicing at night a lot.
Signature? What's a signature?

Headphones? I know the tone isn't the same but it's not like you're recording.
