I was messing around with some piano chords and came up with this really cool groove, added some bass and drums and came up with a really cool vibe. Then, for some odd reason at 1 am, I just decided to start improvising over it, and it came out to be a sort of jazzy/semi shred thing....I say semi shred because there are only a couple fast runs, while for the most part it's more melodic calmer phrases. It sounds jazzy because of the chords as well as some chromatic notes/key changes I have in there. It's pretty short, but I do really like it, although it is a bit rough.

Also, the batteries on my microcube are running out, so that's why sometimes you might hear some unwanted noises...it tends to spontaneously "combust" every now and then

It's on my profile. Hope you enjoy

I like this a lot actually (I've listened to it 3 times), I'm listening on my laptop speakers right now though so I'm not hearing the bass too much but I'll definately give it second listen on my monitors sometime.

The chord progression is nice, reminds me of something Pat Metheny would do. The piano has a good mellow sound to it.

I really like your guitar tone, what are you playing through? The playing itself was good as well, seemed a bit too structured...but thats not a bad thing. The only constructive criticism I could give you overall is to make the song longer!

I'll have to listen to some of your other stuff sometime.

Mind listening to my newest song?

I've also got some slightly jazzy stuff on my myspace, so feel free to check it out.

Keep up the good work!

absolutely loved it. i loved how melodic it was and how clean it was. it sounded like you had very nice technique. dunno what else to say about it. also it maybe could have been longer but i wouldn't really worry about that.

This is the type of shredding that really inspires me so I was hooked from the beginning. The jazz chords played by the piano give it alot of emotion which is amazing.

I hope you decide to explore this style of music more.

that was awesome. very fusiony and I loved it. The shred parts could have been somewhat cleaner, but they were getting the job done Great job dude, I loved all your songs on your profile and sent you a friend request.

Haha porn groove? Yup it is synthed, I use FL Studio for all my synthed instruments, which is basically everything except the guitar

Thanks for all the crits everyone!

get a cheap one! my bass is one of the low end ibanez models. costs around $200, and it gets the job done. i'd advise buying a used bass amp though.

Enjoyed the groove of the whole track, very well presented minimal piano chords and a driving bassline. Guitar playing excellent, very melodic but a lot of technical elements, enjoyed the variation between the long notes and the slow shredding. Would be interested in hearing how it could be developed into a whole song.
