Okay pit. Here's my dilemma.

I just sold my old car. It was a sweet little Honda Civic, 1977, only 105,000kms on the clock (about 65,000 miles). Anyways, I got $1300 for it. Which leads me to my problem. My new car, my 93' Daihatsu Charade DeTomaso GTi (picture of one here is a sweet ride, but needs a little bit of work done to stop it smoking like a bitch.

But I also want a new computer, and need a new electric guitar.

So, Pit, with me being an indecisive idiot, I need your help.

Do I:

A. Repair the Charade, (new rings, bearings, etc, basically renew all the internals and make it run sweet as) for about $500 and save the rest of the money,

B: Buy a new computer (Core 2 Duo 2.66ghz, 2gb RAM, 320gb HD, Nvidia 8600GT 512mb, etc)

or C: Buy a new Ibanez ART300 Electric Guitar for $900?

I know it'll be biased towards the guitar, being a guitar forum and all, but I can't decide between the three. They're all equally important to me, being a gigging musician, going to college next year to do Computer Science, and a car enthusiast.

Thanks for your help guys!

unless you desperately need teh computer, go with the car.

although its so hard for us guitarists, sometimes we have to realise some things are more important than our precious 6 strings.

very, very few things.

That's a sexy Ibanez right there. Well, I would just stick with the thing that you do most. Do you drive a lot, or do you play guitar or use the computer more. I would just spend my money on something that I do a lot.

For the love of god a Daihatsu?

Anyway, since it is the field you are going to be studying in college, I would say the computer is going to be the most beneficial, and in the long run will probably help you out the most.

A guitar or computer won't help get you to work, nor can you get laid in their nonexistent back-seats. Fix the car.
I simply cannot take this god-awful place anymore. Goodbye to all the good people here. The rest can fuck off.

I'd go for the car... i mean, u said it's smoking. Plus, that way you can just keep the remaining money to invest it in whatever else you'll need later on instead of having something brand new and no cash left.

get the repairs on the car
although that guitar is beast, at least with the car repairs u will have some money left ovr that u can save 4 the computer or the guitar

If you are a gigging musician, then I'd say the car.

If you can't actually get to a gig, you're gonna end up screwed some way or another.

The computer can come later, and the guitar Iwouldn't worry about til later either. You can always borrow someone's guitar for a gig or two.

Man I was hoping more porn jokes

Anyway, if the guitar gets you money, do it! It'll make you money and then you can focus on the other things.

yea what some others said.

fix the car because having a car break down on you is the greatest inconvienence and its a pain, then save the rest of the money for your guitar.

you still got time to get the new computer and the thing about computers is the longer you wait the better machine you get for your money. so unless you need the computer now you should wait as long as possible to get it.

my 2 cents

Unless you actually need a new guitar, then fix the car and save the money, considering you're a gigging musician.
If you have $1300, and spend $500 on the car, you will have $800 left. $800 could get a nice guitar.

well lets see. computers dont last and either become obsolete or break with in the next 5 years.

If your car runs well then there isnt a point in totally fixing it up, i mean its just really there to get you from point a to b (my opinion).

So go for the guitar. But it always depends, sleep on it for a few days and think logicially of what you really what is the best advice i can give you
