ive been looking for an amp for my pod x3 to play at band practices. and everything colors its tone! i think im going to use the pod until im in a band thats playing gigs and is basically signed to an indie label. right now all we do is demos and stuff and play in my basement. but i need something to amplify the thing with.

if your wondering about guitar, so you guys can say "OMGZ NEW GUITAR!" im building one.

i got recommended this, and i was wondering what your thoughts were on it.

Seems good. I had never seen those amps and to be honest they just seem to work like a pa system.

You could also try a keyboard amp

It's likely to color its tone.

I have a drum amp and it turns my tone into sh*t. That's one of the reasons why i just plug in headphones into my PODX3 Live.

TS: congrats on the X3

if you turn off the cabinet simulation on the pod it should be fine.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

ha! one of the smart ones! i thought that would work too... yeah, not so much.

and yeah i tried a bass amp, that colored it AND made it sound like crap.

and i cant afford a reactor. do you think i should wait for it, or go with the 21?

and thanks about the x3

you tried a jc-120?

that will color the tone. im trying to find just a poweramp thing, becuase the x3 works as a preamp.
